Hi
We need to update the embedded mongodb in our older 2022 server from 4.2.22 to 4.4.28. Is there an recommended procedure for applying a minor release
Thanks
Dan
Hi Dan!
For embedded MongoDB, Alteryx does not document a separate procedure to manually patch or replace the embedded MongoDB binaries from 4.2.22 to 4.4.28.
The embedded MongoDB version is tied to the Alteryx Server version/installer. Alteryx’s guidance is that, when an embedded MongoDB version upgrade is applicable, it occurs automatically as part of the Alteryx Server upgrade process. For 2022.x Server versions, the MongoDB Schema Reference shows embedded MongoDB as 4.2, while 4.4 is listed under supported versions for user-managed MongoDB, not as the embedded version.
So the recommended approach would be one of these:
I would not recommend manually applying a MongoDB minor/major binary update directly to the embedded MongoDB outside of the Alteryx Server upgrade process unless Alteryx Support explicitly confirms it for your exact Server build.
