Hey Alteryx admins—this one's for you. While there's a lot of excitement across the board for the latest platform advancements for Alteryx One, we know your priorities are different: you need tighter governance, less maintenance overhead, more control over deployments, and simpler paths to modernize without disrupting what's already working. This release delivers on all of that.
Here's what's new across governance, execution, and infrastructure in Alteryx One.
Governance That Scales With Your Organization
SDLC & Asset Governance: Full Visibility Into Workflow
This is a foundational upgrade for organizations that need rigorous control over analytics assets. The new SDLC and Asset Governance capabilities give you the ability to certify workflows using standard data labels for workflows across your environment. Make trusted data easy to find and use by identifying certified workflows with standardized labels clarifying ownership, quality, and approved business use.
Coming Soon: SDLC Packages & Promotion
Packages and promotion workflows are coming soon to give admins tighter control over how analytics move into production without slowing teams down. With packages, admins get clean, versioned units of work that are easy to track and manage. Promotion workflows add built-in guardrails like approvals, testing, and dependency validation, so admins can enforce standards, reduce risk, and ensure only trusted assets make it to production. The result: stronger governance, less manual oversight, and more confidence and visibility in what’s running across environments.
Unify Workflow Automation in Alteryx One
Managing workflows across desktop, cloud, and on-prem environments has traditionally meant juggling tools, limited visibility, and duplicated effort. With Alteryx One, that changes.
We’re bringing workflow automation together into a centralized control plane so you can view, automate, and run all workflows in one place, regardless of where they run. With Workspace Execution and (coming soon) Server Execution, you can scale analytics operations while aligning to your organization’s infrastructure and security requirements.
Workspace Execution: Cloud execution with flexibility and control
Build analytic workflows in Designer Desktop while running them in the cloud. This capability is now available on an Alteryx Data Plane for seamless and resilient cloud-based execution. No set-up or ongoing maintenance required.
- Operationalize analytic workflows with a low-friction cloud-based automation experience
- Reduce risk of disruption due to dependencies on local machines and networks with resilient cloud-based execution
- Improve visibility and governance of analytics processes by surfacing workflows in the centralized Alteryx One dashboard
- Reduce operational overhead with a secure Alteryx-hosted cloud environment while meeting security requirements with the option to choose between multi-tenant or private data storage options
The result: faster, more scalable execution with the control and flexibility enterprises need. Watch the demo here.
(Coming Soon) Server Execution: Manage in Alteryx One. Execute On Your Server.
Not ready to move to the cloud? You don’t have to. Server Execution (coming soon) brings your existing Server workflows into Alteryx One so you can manage all workflows from a single centralized dashboard while keeping execution and data fully on your customer-managed environment.
- Unified workflow orchestration: View, schedule, and trigger Server workflows from inside the Alteryx One platform.
- Enterprise-grade security: Meet data security requirements of highly regulated industries by executing workflows on-premises.
- Modernization Pathway: Support long-term modernization strategies without major disruption with support for hybrid deployment models.

AI Governance: Control How AI Is Used
Governed AI Across Alteryx One
As AI capabilities expand—Ask Alteryx, AI Tools, Agent Studio (Preview), and MCP Server (Preview)—governance needs to keep pace. This release continues to build out the controls admins need to manage AI safely at scale.
- Transparent, auditable AI outcomes from Ask Alteryx—know what the AI changed and why
- Role-based controls govern who can access and use AI features
- MCP Server exposes governed workflows and trusted data sets externally without raw data exposure—your security policies travel with the data
For admins evaluating the new Agent Studio and MCP Server previews: both are designed with IT guardrails front and center. AI can't be trusted on its own and needs a governed logic and execution layer. Alteryx remains the easy-to-use platform for defining and governing logic, and now that logic is available to your AI agents, allowing them to scale safely. We'd encourage you to explore both and share feedback on what governance controls you need to see before broader rollout. Access the preview
A New Foundation for Faster, Unified Data Access
We are excited to introduce the next generation of connectors, with Google Drive and Microsoft SharePoint v3 now generally available and more on the way. Built on a new architectural framework, these connectors deliver up to 80x faster processing for datasets over 1GB, so workflows that once took hours can now run in minutes. Beyond performance, they also provide a more seamless experience across Alteryx One, with interoperability across Designer Desktop and Cloud, easier setup through Data Connection Manager and guided OAuth, and improved troubleshooting with more granular logging. It is a faster, simpler, and more unified way to connect to your data — read the full blog to learn more.
Reduce Administrative Overhead
(Coming Soon) Data Connection Manager: Unify connection management in Alteryx One
Data Connection Manager is coming soon to Alteryx One! This gives organizations a single, centralized way to manage credentials. With Data Connection Manager, admins can:
- Bring connection management into the cloud: Standardize connection details and reuse them across the Server, Designer, and Workspace Execution to eliminate redundant setup
- Strengthen security and governance: Apply granular permissions to ensure the right users have the right level of access to data
- Reduce operational overhead: Streamline connection and credential management with a unified experience across hybrid workflows
For teams working across desktop and cloud, this removes a major friction point—connections no longer need to be recreated or manually maintained. Instead, admins can securely manage access at scale while enabling users to move faster with trusted, ready-to-use access to data.
(Coming Soon) Server Upgrade Wizard: Reduce Downtime, Simplify Maintenance
Upgrading Server has historically been one of the more painful parts of maintaining an Alteryx environment. The new Server Upgrade Wizard changes that with automated validation before the upgrade, catching issues before they become outages.
- Assess your current Alteryx Server with automated pre-upgrade validation
- Provide a roadmap for your specific upgrade process
- Identify and resolve compatibility issues quickly
- Estimate the time and space needed for the upgrade
