Cross Tab tool dropping table properties

I used to use a combination of the table tool and cross tab tools to create 2 lines of headers in my reporting tools. It worked up until 2024.2 Patch 7? I submitted a ticket with Alteryx and they told me it was fixed in 2025.1. We've finally been able to upgrade and it's still not fixed. While I wait for Alteryx to figure out a fix, does anyone have an alternative?

The excel file has been cleared of numbers but you can see how the formatting used to come out vs now. I've also attached a sample workflow where the properties disappear at the cross tab tools.

I figured out an alternative. I used the Make Column tools with a select tool to solve my problem.

You can create excel template ready with these headers and then write the data into that template, writing it into ranges so the headers will not be overwritten, and you can also define keep the template formating.

I was hoping to avoid that because it's a file with 10+ tabs and 17 versions and some of the tabs have headers that change depending on the version of the report. I didn't want to have to completely redo it all and figure out the range for everything.
