Read the file from sharepoint

Hi,

I am able to grab the file from sharepoint but i am unable to read the file to built further logic - How can i read the file ? i used the logic that i need to pick updated file from SharePoint folder. may i know further steps and sample workflow ? - Thanks in advance.
