Reading PDFs using Intelligence suite

Hi all,

I have been using Alteryx Designer for a couple of years and we have just upgraded to Alteryx One which has give us access to Intelligence Suite. I have looked on the community for help and followed some of the training but I am still struggling to get data out of my PDF images.

I have a sharepoint file full of PDFs which can have any number of pages. Each page is an image from a photograph of a receipt. From that receipt, I would like extract the value, the date and if there is a VAT number.

I have got as far as loading all the images, but it is only finding me one column of data which is usually blank or has picked up a single random bit of text.

Hey @KatieBrunton, you can design a template or use automatic image detection to help extract the values. Normally, some cleaning is still required to get the final structure you want. Here is an example you can refer to. Hope this helps
