Extremely slow pulling in data to a workflow from a Network Drive

We have the new 2025.2 Designer and it is extremely slow to pull in Excel files from a Network drive. Same with deleting files from a workflow. Reports that were taking 20 minutes to complete are now taking 2 hours just to load the new data. Anyone else experiencing this? Solutions? Thanks in advance

I would see if you experience the same issues when reading in the same files from somewhere local like your Desktop or Downloads - my first guess is it would actually be the network drive being bogged down so if local runs much faster, I would first look at cleaning up the network drive!

we are doing that but that is a patch not a solution

I agree, but I wouldn't blame Alteryx necessarily without a full comparison between your old version and the new version. Can you install your old version and do a full comparison? You can have two versions of Designer on your computer at once, provided one is Admin and one is non-Admin: Admin and Non-Admin Install Guide

That way, you can see if it's truly a 25.2 issue, or more likely a network drive / connection issue!

No, the old version is unavailable. Working with Alteryx Tech Support and Sales, they are just chasing their tails with zero solutions

also, we had zero issues with the old version. This did not start until we installed the new version

Sorry to hear that. I don't believe I can help further from here, I shared my experience that I think it would be the network drive before a version issue as I have not experienced the same slowdown with my Designer upgrade and because the local files sound like they work normally.
