Conditional fomat for a Text Value

Dear Experts,

I want to use the Excel technique called conditional formatting in my whole sheet in Alteryx

If any output Excel cell contains a specific cell value, let's say "MATCH", then the cell color should be green.

If the cell contains "CHECK", then the cell color should be red.

Could you Pls guide me on how to achieve this?

Hello @akhukla,

If you want to apply rules to the whole table, you can use either column rules or row rules to achieve your result.

Above I set a rule which makes the entire row green, when the value B is present in the Category Column.

If however, you would still rather stick with the excel templating, then the blob tool article provided by @JosephSerpis above should give you everything you need. The trick is to make sure that you have "preserve formatting" enabled when you write out to the file.

Please bare in mind that you may need to define the cell range in your output path. In order to do this, you follow teh usual file/sheet path with a cell range, delimited by a colon (i.e A1:B2). A full example path would be:

C:\User1\Desktop\Excel Output.xlsx|||'Sheet 1$A1:B2'

A workaround for this is you can use a predefined Excel template with all the logics applied to it, and using blob tools, you can write your data into the template with pre-created logics.

HI JosephSerpis, I tried your recommended workflow, but my Data is really a large and I don't want to put logic for each field, but whole sheet
