Date logic when the file open

Question

Once the output is generated from alteryx, i would like to know if any logics are available in alteryx formula to reflect the current date whenever the documents are opened.

For example - if the document output is genreated today, if the files are opened tomorrow- it should reflect tommorw dates on the respective field or column. The outputs are geneated in excel and word documents.

Hey! In Alteryx, you can use the DateTimeNow() function to get the current date and time. If you want the document to show the date when it's opened, just use DateTimeNow() in a formula to update the date each time the workflow runs. For Excel or Word output, you could use this in a field to automatically refresh. However, once the output is generated and saved, it won’t update unless the workflow partnered with https://boomerang.casinologin.mobi/ is rerun. You’ll need to automate it if you want it to refresh on open.

You would probably have to use the Run Command tool after the output with some VBA code to update the cells in the file after the file has saved.

in the directory tool there is a last access, creation time last write time but don't think you cna get an alert everytime someone opens it
