anyway to change the refresh rate on the jobs and workflow results tabs on gallery server

Question

We recently upgraded to 2025.1 version on the gallery and the changes to the Jobs and Workflow Results tabs have rendered them mostly unusable.

What I'm referring to is the fact that the page, when you view it, refreshes every time a new entry is loaded or an entry completes or changes state from queued to running for example.

So if you have, say, 40 queued jobs and 16 running jobs, you change navigate the page to view what jobs are what without the page siezing up and refreshing and making it impossible to click on a job to view status or cancel it or anything.

Is there a setting we can set to make it not refresh so spasmodically so we can actually use the pages?

Hopefully you hear back soon on that one - I've gone over to your idea and given you a like on it.

In the meantime, I had a little test with Chrome tools. Obviously you may want to have a look at adapting this for your own usage but to get you started:

I was able to get something close to what you're asking for by opening the Chrome Console. Easiest way is right clicking and hitting 'inspect' then 'console':

Within the Console, I typed the following:

debugger;
setTimeout(() => { debugger; }, 20000);

This opens the debugger (which pauses all javascript from running) - effectively stopping any automatic refresh of the jobs page.

Upon clicking resume:

The page will then continue JavaScript for 20 seconds, and then pause it again.

From what I could tell, this pausing may be what you need to be able to properly investigate your jobs page. I do appreciate it's not a direct fix but as a workaround it may give you what you need.

For a longer term solution, hopefully Alteryx is able to adjust Server to allow for delayed refreshes.

I had a quick dig and unfortunately I don't believe this is possible.

Happy to drop you a like / comment my support for that idea when you do.

As a slight aside, there may be a way to leverage the Chrome console commands / settings to pause the running scripts that are in charge of the refreshes. I'd suggest this isn't really a long term solution for you however, given the temporary nature. If this is something that would be useful for you in interim, let me know and I can have a dig into that for you.
