Edit Variables in App Builder (Set Variables Tool)

Hi, trying to understand how to proper use the set variables tool in App Builder section (Alteryx One - Cloud)

I have define my variable (name, type etc..) , the tool apparently allows to override global variables but can't figure :

- how to use my created variables (edit a filter or formula tool? edit the path of my workflow direftory ? etc)

- where my global variables are defined on a cloud native workflow

- why the set variable tool doesn't have an outptut anchor on the canvas (could allow to reuse my global variables editted in other part of the app

What I am missing? anybody has managed to use that variable tool??

Are you referring to Global Variables? Alteryx calls them Constants, they act as global variables for the entire workflow.
They allow you to define a value once and use it anywhere in the workflow. Changing the value in one place updates it everywhere.

How to Use Global Variables (Constants)

Method A: In Formula Tool (or any expression editor)

Click the "X" icon (Columns & Constants).
Expand Constants → User.
Double-click the constant you want.

Method B: Reference Shortcut 
You can use the constant directly in any text box or configuration by wrapping it in % %:
%User.OutputPath%\File.xlsx
%User.StartDate%
This works in:

Input Data tool (file path)
Output Data tool
Dynamic Input/Dynamic Output
Formula tool
Filter tool, etc.
