How can I use the Output Data in part 1 of my workflow as the Input Data in part 2....

...without tool containers (which I currently use).

The workflow is set up like this.

The Database (Output Tool) in container #1 is the same Database (Input Tool) in container #2. I always need to update it before running the Macro (container #2), which means Run #1, Disable #1, Enable #2, Run #2. I know it's just a few clicks but I do this a lot and would love a solution that means I just run the whole workflow once.

Why does it have to go to the database? Can you just connect the Formula tool to the Summarize and the macro?
