Including file names into the the files consolidation output

Question

Dear Community,

I am consolidating several csv files in one file in the following way:

1). Input directory tool: linked the folder with my input files

2). Filter tool: filtered the csv files. This gives me the list of the files I want to consolidate

3). Dynamic input tool: combines the files in one table

Now I would like to add the file names into the final output table. I have tried using "Select" tool and "Append fields", but it seem not to be working like this. Can anyone help?

You can use Regex tools to achieve this. For example, you can remove all the numbers and set it as the final output file name. Here is a sample workflow

Use the Input Data Tool with “Output File Name as Field” option

Instead of just using the Input Directory + Dynamic Input, configure the Input Data tool (or Dynamic Input) to include the file name.
In the Input Data tool, check the box: “Output File Name as Field”
and choose Full Path or File Name Only.
