I’m encountering an issue while installing the latest versions of Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server (AlteryxServerInstallx64_2025.1.2.142). The installation gets stuck at “Installing Python packages”, and after some time, it rolls back, canceling the installation.
Our local IT team has been troubleshooting this for the past 3 days but hasn’t been able to identify the root cause.
As a workaround, we tried installing Designer 2024.2, but it prompts for a license key. I do have an Alteryx One account, but I’m not sure how to retrieve my license keys.
Could someone guide me on:
- How can I find my license keys in Alteryx One?
- What could be causing the rollback during Python package installation in the latest version?
- If I activate Designer 2024.2 with the license key, can I upgrade to the latest version without any issues, or will I need to repeat the activation process?
- The licensing portal seems confusing - it asks for keys first to set up the account, creating a loop that isn’t helpful.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is urgent.
