Google Drive doesn't do anything on run. Just spins.

Question

Alteryx version 2024.1.1.209. Just installed the Google Drive 1.3.4 connector.

Using DCM to connect to Google and everything works fine. I get a connection, I'm able to select my sheet and run through the configuration. Added a Browse tool to the end of it, everything looks fine. Then I click Run and nothing happens.

It just spins and doesn't show any messages but just runs non-stop. Let it run earlier and it ran for four hours non-stop and didn't process a single thing.

I created a new sheet in Google Drive with a single line and a single cell filled out. Same results.

What could I be doing wrong?

I'm going with 'hanging oauth' -- basically you accepted google scope oauth for a certain set of scopes... You extended the scope by say creating a new gsheet.  You haven't approved that scope. I'd recommend trying the tool in a new formula --- going back through oauth --- making sure you click everything. trying again.

You can also try disabling your oauth permissions to the client and reapproving or creating your own gcp client --- and then using that. Google Account, Data & Privacy --- Third Party Apps & Services

This is odd behavior; so I would try another version of the connector first.

otherwise I would submit this as a case to Alteryx Support! In MyAlteryx there is a “case management” part and you can provide the detail there
