I have a workflow that connects to a Calgary join that I use to find the count of businesses that are within a trade area of an address or addresses. For example, I want to see the number of companies that have >5 employees and are within 5 miles of a given address. I have been using basically the same workflow for years. I have noticed that the number of records being returned dropped dramatically in Q4 2024. For example, I looked for the number of businesses with 5+ employees in the north Dallas area within 10 miles. When I run the workflow using the Q3 2024 data, I get ~200K records. However, then I run the exact workflow, but change the Calgary data set to Q4 2024, I only get ~40K records. Thinking this might be unique to Dallas, I did a similar search in Florida using a bunch of addresses and a 5 mile radius. Using the Q3 2024 data I got ~1,68M records. And using the Q4 2024 data I get ~162K. I have run the workflow in a few other places around the country and gotten essentially the same disparate results. I also ran the workflow using Q1 2024, Q2 2024, and Q1 2025 Calgary data. The Q1 2024 and Q2 2024 counts are in line with the above Q3 2024 results. And the Q1 2025 counts are in line with the Q4 2024 data.
Anyone else seeing the same thing? Did something significantly change with the Calgary business data between Q3 2024 and Q4 2024?
Thanks for looking.
