I need help with formating the blob tool

Hi everyone,

I have been having some trouble formatting the blob tool and i downloaded the example from this article but i have not had any luck running the flow without errors. The Blob: Reporting That Isn’t From a Horror Film - Alteryx Community.

basically, i am trying to add data to a template, but also keeping clean copy of the template and dynamically name the output file name to have the date for the upcoming week and be the same file that has both the template and report 1 included. i have the workflow attached and the template and excel file for reference.

@OTrieger the issue is that the blob tool is not saving the file in the location I have it set to. It's saving into a random file in alteryx, when i have set to save to a sharepoint folder.

What you will need to do is, to ensure that the file name in the path of the Blob Out tool is differ than the template name, In this case Alteryx will take the template and save it as a new file and in this way your template will not change. As I did not open your WF, it would be useful to know what is the error that you get, as there might be several errors that has different reasons, such as the data that you are writing out is bigger than the selected range.
Or if you have cells with formulas in the template file and you will try to write data into these cells you will get error for that.
