Output automatically opening

Does anyone know why an output file would automatically open? I have a workflow with multiple outputs flowing to the same file and each of them in control containers and linked correctly, however, now when I run it, the final output is not finding the file as it gives me the error 'cannot access as its being used by another process' and when I check excel, the file has opened. Has anyone seen this before?

Hi Carlyn! I assume your goal is to have one file with multiple sheets. If that's the case, the configuration for the output data tools need to be different from each other.

The first output configuration should be either "Create new sheet" or "Overwrite file (remove)". Depending on whether you already have a file with that name in that folder or not.

All the others should be configured as append to existing sheet. and the file name needs to be the same and have a different sheet name.
