Error in Chained App published to Server DOES NOT stop workflow

Question

I've got a couple chained apps that are all individually set to "Cancel Running Workflow on Error" that I've successfully saved to our company's gallery and ran successfully (when there are no errors). However, when there are errors present (such as in a Test or Message tool), the gallery workflow continues to the next app despite what should have been considered an "unsuccessful" run. When I run it as an app in Designer the errors stop the workflow as expected. How can I ensure the workflow when ran from the gallery is stopped when an error is present?

@RogersGraceC  I think this is a good candidate to report to Customer Support through my.alteryx.com to confirm if this difference between Gallery and Designer runs is expected or not. Be sure to share your Server and Designer version. I'm not familiar enough with this behavior to suggest a work around, but perhaps someone on Community has run into this and may still provide some insight.
