Interface - File Browse Tool Input and Output

Question

Hello. I'm using Interface - File Browse Tool on my workflow since I'm going to upload my workflow at a server. I wanted users to upload a template file containing their data and want to them to get an output on the same file as the input (Together with the formatting and the data they've added). I had the input worked out but I'm not sure what to put the output. Thank you in advance for any assistance :)

in your output data ---> you must provide a specifiic path to write to. that path must correspond to the temp location of the file you are reading in. That is the way you can output this to a copy of your original file.

orgiinal file -> uploaded to temp. capture location. write to location in output data. user then downloads file

@apathetichell Sorry, I could understand the question :(  But basically, I have a template file here. The user will fill this in and runs the workflow. The workflow will then prompt the user to select that template file and after running the output will be the same file but with results. Thank you.

Are you extracting the full path of your file in input data? -> are you writing to that full path in output data?
