Choose a Date and have that feed into workflow....

Question

Hello community, I am trying to create workflow that starts by prompting me to pick a "Billing Start Date" from the Date Interface Tool, and have that value I choose added as a column to my data I am feeding in with input tool.  Attached is what I have been trying, but I cannot get the date I pick to feed in.  When I run as analytic app, I do get prompted to choose a date from the calendar, but I'm not seeing the value changed.  Help would be much appreciated!!!

I have marked the modified parts in yellow.

1. In the formula tool, we need to provide a temp date and set the Date Type ot "Date"

2. In the action tool, we need to update the value rather than the Feild itself.
