Alteryx not recognizing my SQL Server URL

Using the input data tool, I am trying to connect to the server where all my data is housed. When I attempt to do this, Alteryx asks me for the URL. I put in the URL, yes, its correct, but Alteryx says "Could not connect to server, please try again". 

Is this the right way to connect my SQL server to Alteryx? Anybody have any experience doing this?

Hi @CDIns 

There's a few variables here, some initial thoughts:

1. Do you need to be on any VPN?
2. Do you have the necessary drivers installed on your machine (usually ODBC drivers)
3. Are you authenticating with SQL credentials? Active Directory? Something else?

Typically I try to validate SQL logins on SSMS first to rule out any issues with my credentials/connection, then move to Alteryx.
