crazy lag simply adding tools to canvas

Question

Hi all

I have found many threads about lag when adjusting a workflow, disabling autoconfigure etc, but nothing like what I am experiencing

I have 64GB RAM on a lenovo T14, Alteryx 2023.1 Admin, with patches up to date (patch 7)

If I copy a tool from a workflow, and simply attempt to paste it somewhere,

Alteryx will lag, turn white etc for minutes ! Clearly something wrong.,

I have adjusted the RAM allocated to Alteryx, as high as 50% of available, and have autoconfig turned off

No change.

I removed Alteryx from my machine, restarted, reinstalled .,.,,

same thing

UPDATE May 29 - it seems to be related to the SalesForce Input Tool. If I close out, open a workflow without that tool, it seems fine.

anyone else have issues with that particular tool ?>

i am developing now.

It affects all of Alteryx, including other workflows being worked on (not running)

It almost seems as though the mere addition of the SFDC tool crushes Alteryx, even without running the workflow

yes, I have tried caching the SFDC tool .. the tools directly after it are no inputs so no cache option as far as I know

Are you in development right now of a workflow? Try Caching and running the workflow either at the Salesforce tool, or the tool directly after it. Then try bringing more tools into the canvas and see if that is still causing you lag.

I almost always use AMP without issue.
