Hybrid on-Prem / Cloud Server deployment

Has anyone deployed an Alteryx server environment with a hybrid Controller / Worker arrangement (one server on premise one in the cloud). I'm looking for a way to limit the costs of data ingress/egress from Azure by deploying one server in Azure to run workflows that utilize Azure data sources with and one server on premise for workflows using on premise databases or file based sources.

I have never implemented or helped a customer with a hybrid deployment, but I see no limitations to this idea.

There is also the option of using the in-database tools. Of course, there are a limited amount of tools, but you can push SQL queries to your database, removing much of the data ingress/egress.
