Using Cross Tab

Question

Hi,

I have a data set with a called Program with a number of values within it (course 1, course 2 etc). I want to create headings for each different course and to feed through other columns to be the data sat within it (completion date, status, role etc).

How would I do this please?

Using your example did you want 2 new columns or 6?  Getting it into 6 columns may involve using the transpose tool so that you have a unique row for each course and associated column (completion date, status, role). You would create a new field  (Course 1 - Status), then in the CrossTab you would use the new field in the Change Column headers and the value field in the Values for New Columns.  If this is what you need then I can work up an example.

But it does sound like the cross tab tool is on the right lines
