Extracting Date and Sort Correctly

Hi Guys,

I have this date in different format, string type in that when I convert and sort it, it does not sort chronologically but sorted randomly. I can't find why? Can you help me sort this correctly? Sample date below.

12.31.21 SN BARates.xlsx

12.30.2022 SN BARates.xlsx

12.29.23 SN BARates.xlsx

12.21.2022 SN BARates.xlsx

12.13.23 SN BARates.xlsx

The format of the date should be mm/dd/yyyy. And I would like it sort from latest date to earliest.

Thanks however, I am very much confuse why my records are not sorting properly. Using formula tool coming from your workflow and then sort, it is not sorting properly. See snapshot below. Would you know why? How can this be fix?

@KamenRider Make sure the Date field is Date data type and use that field in the sort tool
