can i inject a formula into a formula tool from a cell value?

i have a super simple workflow to test out some solutions, but i am trying to do something that i hope is simple:

i want to somehow customise the calculation done in a column called "Calc_Output" the calculation that i want performed would come from a column called "Driver_Calc".. but i can't wrap my head around how this can be done.. Does anyone have any suggestions?

@alexnajm yes that certainly looks promising! though alteryx is telling me that the macro isnt supported.. re-saving the macro isn't fixing the problem either.

Dynamic Formula (17)	Tool #55: This appears to be a pre V9.0 app/macro which is not supported.  Please open and save the macro in Alteryx designer to migrate it.

What version of Alteryx are you using? I was able to download it from the site just fine!

i'm on 2023.1.1.. weird. perhaps i can re-construct the macro by using this one as a template.
