Cross Tab - Unknow Variable in Formulae Tool on the Alx Server

Question

HI Guys,

An Alteryx server issue with a newly created cross tab column. I use the newly created column in a simple addition in a  formulae tool - However the gallery is constantly returning "Unknown variable" in the formulae tool - validation error when saving to the gallery .

I have literally tried everything at this point - I do understand the cross tab tool renames columns and I have tried renaming the cross tab columns back to the original format - Im at a loss

I remove the formulae tool with the basic addition and there is no problem saving to the gallery - HELP !!!!

I am on Alx 2020 as thats whats on the server from my employer

Getting the following error in Alteryx  2020 with that macro you recommended (see image below)

@Tommy_Alterax  consider downloading and using this macro: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Community-Gallery/Cross-Tab-Clean/ta-p/1135490 this will prevent the original column name being altered during the cross-tab.
