Create IN-DB Macro

Question

Hi All,

I created a workflow using IN-DB that has multiple inputs and it spits out one output. I am wondering how I could create a macro IN-DB? It says, I need to connect the database (which I already am using the IN-DB input tool), does that mean I replace the multiple inputs with multiple Macro input IN-DB tools? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

There are 3 tables (3 Input data) I am pulling from in-db and aggregating them so I can save it as tde for tableau. It won't allow me to query the 3 tables into one input data tool because the size is too big. This is the only way I am able to pull them through.

1. Using 3 input data tool - SQL editor to pull and summarize data for three tables

2. Add new fields in formula tool

3. summarize data

4. Stream out so i can save output as tde

For in db macro, you must use in-db tools so yes, in db macro input and output. Can you explain exactly what your macro will do? And can you share some screenshots?
