Files overwritten when workflow opened

Question

I'm using version 2022.3.1.508.

I have noticed that when I simply open a workflow, any Render tools are overwritten.  It has overwritten pdf and Excel files and leaves them blank

Some of the files contain information that is used by other workflows, so they should not be overwritten.

I was able to restore a previous version of one file, but not as lucky on another.

Is this some sort of bug?

I did not notice this behavior in previous versions, but it may have been present.

I have noticed the same thing, and it is incredibly frustrating. No suggestions, but commenting here only to indicate that this is still an issue, almost a year after the original post.

it's really only occurring in version 2023.1
And when you start configuring it, it already creates the folders, if there aren't any, and the file. something that only happened when executing the workflow.
there are already several posts referring to rendering but no one has given a solution yet.
