Creating a single source for input/output data

Question

Is there a way to create a universal name for a source or output folder (network folder) where I would not have to edit every single report when the IT department decides to move my folders to a new server?  Currently accessing them through a UNC mapping, so I have to edit all my reports and update this UNC mapping for both sources and output files.

Hi Pete,

Using a workflow constant might solve your needs.  You can create the constant in the workflow tab of your workflow configuration, then qualify it in a input/output tool using %s.

Now you just have to change the path in one place in your workflow.  Hope this helps.
