Export Workflow

Question

HI All

I'm working on a project which is using Workflows to take data from one legacy system and transform into a new system

As part of this, I am being asked to export the workflows so they can be "signed off".

Is there a way to export the workflows so it can be placed into a document that Non Alteryx people can view? Ideally it will need to show all the formulas, transformations and filters.

Any help will be gratefully received.

Hi @Paddydd1

The most complete Auto doc solution is probably this one.  It produces reports detailing the tools, their configuration and a break down of the workflow including annotations.  This will probably be a good start for you, since you'll be able to extract formulas, the configuration of your transform and join tools, etc.  The report will also form a good basis for code walkthrough sessions.

What it doesn't do is provide any description of the overall logic of your workflow, either in total or section by section..  You'll have to provide that yourself.
