I tried looking for this specific question on the community and couldn't find anything., I would really appreciate some direction. 

We are trying to connect to a newly acquired company's DB who sits on a different domain and we are on a different domain , so the question is will it be possible to connect to there DB (Oracle and SQL server) using Alteryx if they create a read-only user account ? If yes, what are the specific steps ?

Will really appreciate some direction on this topic.

Hi @MD2050 

This is not an Alteryx issue, per se, but rather a network/SQL server configuration issue.  Your network team will need to set up trust relationships between the two domains and your SQL server authentication may need to be modified if it's set up to use SSO.  

Once your domain trust relationship are properly configured, bring in your DB admins to generate the correct connection strings/tnsnames.ora config settings
