Communication between Controller & Worker in 2 different DC

If I am setting up controller & worker in DC 1 and I would also want to setup another worker node in DC 2, in this scenario how would the Controller in DC 1 communicate with worker in DC 2? Is there any stuff (e.g. network connection, security, configuration etc ) that i need to take note of in this type of setup?
