Help combining the two interface tools into one

Hi,

I have two interface tools. The first one is to give the detour option, the 2nd is just to collpase the section in the analytic app tool (it looks abit better).

My question is - is there a way I can combine this to 1 step? Having 2 check boxes is abit inconvenient.

Check first one to open the collapsed box-

Check 2nd box for or Detour or Not - If its not selected it will Detour, if it is it goes through the left side of detour.

any help would be appeciated into making this into a one step functionality.

*Note in reality It is an excel file - not a text input. I just did this for testing purposes*

Ah great thanks @wonka1234! There's a couple of ways we can simplify this. As you're using the Detour, then there's no need to disable containers or even use them at all for a simple case like this. We can simply connect the Check Box directly to the Action tool in order to switch the workflow behaviour.

As you can see, when selected the Detour will be switched to the right. Therefore, I've just switched the Filter to be in that pathway.

Your other options are already nested inside the Check Box within the Interface Designer and so still won't be available to configure until somebody selects to Filter.

For the sake of demonstrating the app, I've just quickly disconnected the dropdown from your file input and entered the Field values manually:

Thanks! but it still kind of annoying to see the options greyed out! Is there a way to get rid of this?

I dont want to see the greyed out options.

@DataNath ah thanks, but if i run without it collapsed/selected it will detour around the cleanse?

@wonka1234 if you run without the Check Box selected, it'll go down the left channel and won't be Filtered.
