Replace or contains formula help

Hi

I am hoping someone can help me with a find and replace formula.

Below is a column from a flow I am building. I need to replace "|" with the data from the line above.

For example lines 6 and 7 would be replaced by the data in line 5 or lines 9 and 10 would be replaced by data in line 8

I have tried to use this formula, but it gives me a PARSE error.

IF contains([|]. "|") THEN [Row-1:|] ELSE [|] ENDIF

Any help would be appreciated

Hi @pdealwis ,

this is a simple multi-row formula. You can use the following logic:

if [Text]="|" then [Row-1:Text] else [Text] endif

This allows you to replace an existing single pipe with whatever was not a pipe on the row above, each row updating itself sequentially:
