Use file browse and action tools to select input files for monthly process

Question

I already built the workflow and it's ready to move to server. The last step I need to do is to configure file browse and action tools so the user can select different files each month to run the workflow. The files will be in Excel format. Can anyone help take a look at the configurations below and let me know if I need to do anything else? Also, how do I make sure the tool actually works without moving to the server because when I run workflow in Alteryx, the questions I set up won't show. Also, do the input file names have to be exactly the same every month? Right now, I have the input file name + month? Thank you!

Hi @bui195 ,

as far as I'm aware the File/Folder browse tools are not supported on the server. They are designer tools only, so if you are getting different behaviours when deploying to the server this would be the problem.

@bui195 if you want to test the interface tools and check if they're behaving how you expect them to; you can use the Open Debug feature inside of the Interface Designer:
