Sharepoint Output tool -- publish workflow as file

I just started using server and I was advised to use the Sharepoint tools when using local files.

I'm able to use the Sharepoint input tool with no issues, but I'm having difficulty using the output tool.

Does the tool require a file path?  I cannot figure out a way to publish a file from the configuration window.

If the tool requires a file, I'm not sure how I would be able to generate that on server, then pick it up to publish.

By the way, I'm using the 2.0.1 version of the connector -- since the newer one is not compatible with our server version.

You can search for a file, or enter a file path manually. 

"Select the file in the file tree or search for it by its name. You can enter the file path in the File Path field. "
