Error: Failed to authenticate SharePoint

Sharepoint tool v2.2.0

I have a registry key in

Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\SRC\Alteryx

Value Name: PythonAllowHideEncryption

Value Data: true

Problem:

A few weeks ago the authentication was working, but when I changed my office 365 password. When using the tool it sends me an authentication error.

I was using alteryx version 2021.3 and SP tool 2.1 but looking for a solution I upgraded to the mentioned environment.

I tried connecting using Secret key and the authentication worked fine but it sends me the same error.

The xml looks good sending data.

The error was resolved when installing the new version of SharePoint Tool.

Hi @pander

1) Do you have AMP engine enabled within Designer?

2) Are there any other users experiencing this issue?

3) Did you install the latest patch for Designer 22.1?

Compatible with Designer 2021.4.2 Patch 4, 2022.1 Patch 2 and later

1. Yes It is enabled by default, AMP.

2. Check with other teams and they do not have this problem, it is worth mentioning that the alteryx server where I deploy applications my flows work fine using the Sharepoint tool.

3. yes i have patch 3

Hi @pander

1) What version is the Alteryx Server on?

2) When you configure the SP Files Input Tool, is use as service principal (app only auth) option enabled?

If it is not enabled, can you try to enable it and authenticate again?
When enabling this option, does the XML AuthenicationMethod say Basic or ServicePrincipal?
If it says Basic, can you attempt to change it to ServicePrincipal?
