Dynamic Input Limit in Input tool

I'm running a workflow and was surprised how fast it was. it turns out that within the inputtools of that workflow a set record limit was added.

I know that within the RunTime tab there is a record limit for all inputs. This was empty. 

I wondering is it possible to create/ tick a box that set the record limit in an Development environment but when the workflow goes to Production it get rid of this recordlimit?

Quick note:

I was looking at the constats (in the Workflow tab), might this be an option?

When you said the record limit was empty, was that under the Template?

In the Dynamic Input tool configuration, under Input Data Source Template, when you click the Edit button, is the field for Record Limit blank?
