Output tool for SharePoint 2007 behaving different after server upgrade

Question

We have workflows that move data from one SharePoint list to another. On one of the workflows, there is an Output tool using a SharePoint version of 2007 and Output Options of Append Existing. This tool worked normally prior to the upgrade, but after the upgrade it started to replace spaces with a +, commas with %2C, and colons with %3A.

Any idea on options to prevent this from happening or why it would have changed?

@jwimmers Given your designer version, it looks your Sharepoint tool is a pretty old one (1.0.x). The 2020.3.5 isn't really supported anymore. If your team recently upgraded Server, you should definitely upgrade your Designer to the same version as Server and download the new Sharepoint tool that would be compatible with that upgraded Designer version. Another team manages the Server install, would have to find out from them what the before/after versions were. Running Designer version 2020.3.5.30242 on desktop, and I don't have the options or screen you pictured on the SharePoint Input tool

@jwimmers just curious, what version of server did you upgrade to and what version of the SharePoint tool are you using? Can you also check what you set your "Code Page" to in your SharePoint Input tool. Go to the SharePoint Input tool configuration, click on "Configure File" and down below should should be a drop down for Code Page.
