Excel Error After Exporting From Browse Tool

Hello,

I frequently use browse tools to export my data since it is easier for me than using an Output tool as I am constantly re-running the workflows to make small updates and whatnot but I have been experiencing this issue lately that has not been ideal.

This started happening in the last few months and have become more and more frequent. It seems to happen with any workflow that has more than a few tools but when I try to extract my data in a browse tool by going to Actions -> Export -> All Records then save as a .xlsx in my desired folder I get these three error messages when opening the excel:

Once I click through them everything in the workbook is fine and nothing seems to be missing but it is getting increasingly frustrating that I have to rem-name my worksheet every time then I have two copies of the same report in my folder because it doesn't let me delete the original file as "It is locked for editing by another user".

For info, I am using the Alteryx Admin Designer version 2021.2.1 and please do not recommend trying to upgrade to the newer version as I am unable to because this is the version approved and provided to me by my employer so I am unable to update until my employer approves usage of the newer versions.

That error tends to be tricky to solve but most of the time I have to delete the tab and recreate it in a new one as a solution. I usually see that error when I forget to delete a formula in the excel sheet and Alteryx tries to overwrite the sheet. Are you exporting your browse tools to the same sheet each time? Is it possible that anyone else in your company could have the files open as you work through them? I work with files on network drives and that "locked for editing" error comes up whenever that happens. If not it also happens when Alteryx is trying to open and close the same file at the same time, usually if the file is both an input and output. If it's only an output, sometimes closing out of everything and restarting my computer and network mapping helps, or sometimes I have to just work with another copy of the file like you mentioned.
