Inspire 2016 is here in full force and the first day of our incredible Data Analyst Track is in the books. What a way to start these breakout sessions - with a packed house for almost every one! I was lucky to serve as host, and our first day brought a great lineup of speakers and use cases. Here are some examples and highlights of what took place for those of you who missed it:

John Baley and Kevin Mori from Mazda kicked off the sessions with a great example of how IT and the business are working together to enable self-service data analytics across the organization. They highlighted how Mazda is taking advantage of the integration between Alteryx and Microsoft Power BI to support the self-service data analytics growth across the organization.

Cathy Bridges from Motorcar Parts of America highlighted the time she has saved by adding Alteryx into her data preparation and management processes. She has been able to reduce some tasks from 5 hours down to 5 minutes using Alteryx. In addition, she provided some great tips and tricks to help Alteryx users of all skill levels.

Jack Morgan from Charles Schwab shared a great story about how he has been able to use Alteryx to eliminate roadblocks in his analytics processes, but also give him the tool he needs to work with multiple data sources and large volumes of data to get the right insight. Jack is using Alteryx to drive self-service data analytics across his organization, and he has been using Alteryx for less than a year!!

Jed Klink shared his inspiration and incredible journey about how Alteryx changed his life and his career path. He has been able to leverage the power of Alteryx to change the way McDonald’s finds gaps in their trade areas. So much so, that he won a prestigious President’s Awards back in 2012.

Philip Riggs detailed how Alteryx was able to help the USDA fight the Avian Influenza (bird flu) in 2015. By eliminating the need to write over 400 lines of python code, the USDA is now able to use Alteryx to streamline their data processing for emergency responses.

Finally, Marshall Greene of Mosaic Medical detailed the importance of understanding who at-risk patients are and the challenges his team had dealing with multiple sources of data before Alteryx. He highlighted how building patient risk scores in Alteryx has allowed them to tailor patient treatment plans based on specific needs.

We had a fantastic Day One of track sessions that really highlighted the flexibility of the Alteryx platform and how organizations can take advantage of it in so many ways. Our customer presenters really highlighted the journey to self-service data analytics that many analysts across organizations are on, and I am proud to see Alteryx is helping to lead the way.
