Need easy way to append/refresh data each month

Hi all,

I currently have a workflow that contains a number of blank fields. The data will be continually updated over time and I am looking for a simple way of doing this without having to change my workflow each time. One of the fields that will be updated is customer DUNS number (an 8 digit ID). As of now it contains many blanks and invalid numbers that must be apprended when we receive the refreshed data. I want to be able to input the new DUNS numbers and match them up against customer account number (a field that is fully populated). What tool would be best to go about doing this? I was thinking the Find and Replace or Append Field tool? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are lots of approaches to add fields based on relevant data.  One classic way is with a join.
