Locking Containers from Changes

Hi everyone,

I'm putting together a workflow for a process that is done by someone other than myself that has to go through several audit controls at my company. Is there a way to lock containers so that another alteryx user wouldn't be able to make any changes to the tools inside those containers?

Thank you!

To add clarification - the only part of the workflow that I'd like the user to be able to edit/update are the input and output tools.

Hello @dmpope

As far as I know, its not possible. I have thought of a workaround.

Its a little dauting but you can segregate your main workflow into 3 different workflows, create an APP that calls out the main workflow with your data treatment that allows the user to open/edit and the other two, as only an APP.

There is also another thread in which people discuss about how to protect a workflow.

Hope this helps,

Yes - but not with containers - with macros. Use macros. Encrypt Macros. Voila.

Could you articulate?
